My wife and I just watched the movie ‘Home’ last night and it blew our minds. Not only is this a movie with some of the most spectacular footage of earth’s beauty but it also carries a very serious message. I dare you to watch this movie and not feel that it is definitely time we ‘woke up’ as a a species.

And speaking of waking up – I somehow missed this special day about that very thing :

In a previous post I talked about how much we can learn from bacteria in terms of collaboration. Collaboratively they are extremely sophisticated. Bonnie Bassler gives us an amazing presentationat TED and the fact that bacteria can use ‘quorum sensing’ to respond to their environment is a little breath-taking.
